When I joined E&A I was just looking to meet new friends and do new things. Little did I know that I would meet so many great friends, and a man who is not only my best friend, but my soon to be my husband. Jeremy and I will be married in 2013. E&A has changed both of our lives in a wonderful way. It was the best decision of my life!
E&A has changed my life. I have new lifelong friends that I wouldn't have had if it hadn't been for E&A. Plus, there is a great variety of things I wouldn't have done if I didn't join E&A. I always look forward to the events to see my friends.

I feel that joining Events & Adventures is one of the best decisions that I have made. I have done things that I have not done before or thought of doing. The people that I met are very nice and several of them I could truely call friends. E & A has really done wonders for my social life.

E&A allowed me to create lasting friendships by meeting people who had things in common with me just by showing up to the same events. The people in the group are extremely welcoming and come with plenty of laughs to share. I also met my amazing husband in E&A! We had a lot in common and consistently saw each other at events which helped us establish a solid connection based on our common interests.

I joined my first event today - zip lining. The experience was amazing. The people were awesome and much fun. Joining events and adventures is already an outstanding decision and I absolutely cannot wait for the next event. Thank you! thank you! Thank you!!!

I was 36/recently divorced when I joined in Atlanta. I worked at a global tech co and traveled for work but in town, I worked out of my house. I wasn't meeting anyone through the office but I loved to get out and do things. My friends were dating or married, so I didn't always want to be the 3rd wheel. As a member, I met some great people, now dear friends and had the chance to do some really cool things that I wouldn’t have done on my own (or known about). Most importantly I met a great guy through the group. 1st we met playing paintball, then saw each other at Pine Mtn Safari. Not long after that, my membership was up and I renewed because I was having a blast at the events. Yes, I still saw my other friends and had fun with them when we went out, but I had new things to look forward to, things I signed up for, things I had done that I was talking about with them and they were even a bit envious. I count my lucky stars every day that I joined because that great guy I met...well, our paths crossed again on a white water rafting camping trip a few months later and the rest is history. Next month we'll celebrate our 2 year anniversary AND our daughter's 1st birthday. THANK YOU E&A for making it possible!

When I first joined Events and Adventures I was not sure what to expect. I saw a calendar of events that all interested me although at the time hesitant I still made the decision to join. This turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made.

E&A this is the best thing I have ever done for myself!! I'm working on my graduate degree in Counseling, and from the standpoint of a therapist, this is a fabulous opportunity to develop many types of relationships with all kinds of people. Also, it is really good to have the opportunity for balancing work and fun! I will be having my clients try this out when I am in practice one day. I'll be going into private practice one day.

I loved my time with E&A! My reason for joining the singles group in April of 2009 was to participate in week day evening activities with other people. Most of my friends are married and don’t have the time to do things. My job is demanding and it doesn’t leave me time to meet people. I also did think I might be able to date someone or meet that special person through someone in the group but my main goal was to have things to do in the evenings. My job a year ago had limited travel so I was able to do many events during the week. My weekends had always been busy with family and friend commitments so the week days were best for me.
The club made it easy for me to do something, just sign up. You did the directions, attire and timing, all I had to do is show up! Just print the page and go was something I thought was icing on the cake. In the beginning of my year (April 09)I was doing four to five events a month. I had some great adventures, things I wouldn’t have done unless they were offered: brunches and dinners, drag brunch (hilarious), Bingo, wine tasting, MFA, RS games (learned how to take the T into town), mixers, movies, and shows just to name a few of my favorites. Unfortunately, my work travel requirements increased in 2010 and I was down to 1 or 2 events a month. My schedule continues to be one of travel and so will not be renewing my membership.
Some comments for what they are worth:
I would definitely recommend the club to anyone interested in activities! The club provided a variety of events to fit all interests with lots of great people. I liked the idea of participating in other chapter events. I spend a lot of time in NYC but unfortunately didn’t get a chance to do anything with that chapter but appreciated being given the opportunity.
All in all great program and I’m sorry to be missing all the adventures but it’s helped me realize I can do some adventures on my own by looking in the right places.
Thanks for a great year,
- Deborah J- Boston
Hank and I both joined E&A early in 2004. We met at a theater event which was one of our first events. However, another guy was interested in me and my girlfriend was interested in Hank. So, nothing ever came of our first meeting. Over the next two years, we attended many of the same events. There was harmless flirting, a lot of laughs and lots of different relationships.
Until one night at the Hard Rock when both of us were fresh out of relationships and ready for something serious and meaningful. I looked at Hank across the bar and told an acquaintance that he was the man I was going to marry. So, I asked Hank why he had never asked me out. He asked me out for the very next night and we were inseparable. We were married two years later - almost to that day.
Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Let us know if you ever decide to start a couples E&A. We'd really like to participate.

I'm a new member, and have gone to two activities, and two more planned for this week. I wanted to tell you I'm impressed with my experience so far. You run a nice program, and I appreciate the communication, like this letter, that come fairly often. I joined to find activities to just "have," and to be able to just have fun with decent people, without the pressure of impressing a date. I'm recently divorced after returning from Iraq for a year, and just need some adjusting time, not to rush into anything serious with anyone. Just as you advertise, I'm getting just what I wanted.
I looked online for info about E&A, and found lots of people disparaging this program. Please don't let that discourage you. I think these are simply people who:
1. want something for nothing
2. don't get the work it takes to set up a single trip, let alone 30+ a month
I've been a teacher for more than 20 years, and I've set up many, MANY trips. I know the massive amount of time it takes to organize such endeavors, and I want you to know, I appreciate the work you do, and the organization of the program.

Dear E&A Friends:
As you are no doubt aware by now my membership with E&A Boston has expired. In the past 3 years I've had a wonderful experience attending events and have made many new friends. Folks from the Boston office will often hear me referred to as an "Original Recipe" member since I joined E&A when the Boston office was still just an infant with less than 100 members. I've have seen the club grow in leaps and bounds during that time and glad it has taken off and hope it continues to grow as a real-life social networking experience for singles nation wide.
I want to thank each of you for helping to make my experience a positive one and wish you and E&A the very best going forward. Perhaps in the future I'll be able to resume membership in E&A and hope that I'll share in the same great experience you've shared with me already.

My first event was at the Lizard Lounge in Bohemia, and everyone from the host to the existing members welcomed me with open arms. Thanks to Events and Adventures, not only have I experienced new and fun things but I have also made some amazing new friends.

I have met someone special, through E&A, and we currently are living together. I have every intention of proposing to her sometime before the end of the year. I have had a great time as a member of E&A but I am no longer truly single./p>

E&A played a huge part in changing my life last year. I was new to Boston and didn’t know very many people or the area very well. The only thing I had to focus on was work. E&A got me off the couch and meeting new people and going to lots of different places and having so much fun. I tried events like white water rafting and ziplining which I would never have done before. Having a personal event organizer was perfect for me as I was so busy with work I didn’t have time to organize anything or enough friends to do it with. Now I have plenty of friends and lots of social activities, mostly because of people I have met either directly or indirectly through E&A.

When I heard the advertisement for Events and Adventures (E&A) on the radio I knew this was the club for me. I have been divorced for over 18 years and more recently had ended an 8-year relationship. After my divorce I was more comfortable getting out in the world of singles but after my last relationship I did not feel that way. When I went for my interview with Events and Adventures I knew immediately that this would be the best thing I have ever done for myself.
I have two grown children in there 20’s and since they still live home the standing joke was who was going to baby sit Mom at night. Well, that has changed dramatically since I joined E&A. Now I have a calendar posted on the refrigerator and they say “Hey Mom, where are you going tonight”? My calendar is filled almost every day and night of the month. I have done such great things with E&A. You see I love being with people and have always liked doing and trying different things. The events I have done with E&A areendless: Lake George Ski Trip, a Hot Air Balloon Ride, Broadway shows such as Wicked, Rock of Ages (to name a few), chocolate making class, ceramics class, cooking class, sports such as wallyball, miniature golfing, laser tag, billiards, pole-dancing, etc., and of course endless get togethers at restaurants, bars, lounges for drinks and dinner with great friends. E&A offers many different types of events to suit each and every member.
I have made such great friends with E&A. We even get together on our own to do different things without the club. The great thing about the club is that when you sign up for an event and are looking forward to going out that night or weekend, you know that you will definitely be going because there will always be people there at the event. Not like when you finally make plans with friends and at the last minute they cancel or don’t feel like going after you have been looking forward to getting out.
And last but not least. Recently I have met a great guy in the club. We have been seeing each other for a little over a month and the connection is incredible. Never in a million years would I have thought that this would happen. We are so compatible and close that this could be the end of being single for both of us. I just might have met that one special person that so many single people are looking for. Thanks to E&A for putting us together. I absolutely love this club.
